Splendor

Interface Game Design

Splendor is a game of chip-collection and card development. The player collects gems and buys cards until they collect a worth of 15 points. My team and I worked together to turn this fun board game into a digital game. Users can play this interactive game on their phone with anyone, anywhere, anytime. We also gave it a twist and changed the theme to reflect art school, more specifically, SCAD. As you play the game, you win points and work your way towards graduation.

In addition to brainstorming and research, one of my responsibilities was to design the digital game cards. The cards consist of the icons and the points you receive. Also, it shows the type and amount of chips required to buy them. The cards are organized by our bright color scheme and have big bright numbers, as well as simple icons, which were designed by Edd. Once the designs and the video abstract were completed, I wrote the script and did the voiceover to complete the video.
